This week in Tiny Toes . . .
We performed our Nativity play along with the other children in Foundation. It was fun seeing all the mums, dads and other relatives and friends watching us. We were a bit nervous with so many people watching but we all sang our very best. Most people will have had a photo in costume sent home on their calendars.
This week we also said goodbye to Mr Wisken as he sets off to enjoy retirement. Miss Haswell helped us make some hand prints so that Mrs Roome could put together our card. She stuck our hand prints on in the shape of the school logo, the tree. We all did some writing or drawing in the card then we took it up to his office to give to him. He was very surprised and said how much he liked it.
We also had a special visit from Santa who brought each of us a present. He was so kind, he even left one for anyone who was poorly on our last day. Some of us were really happy to see him but some of us weren’t quite so sure! After he had given us all a present and we had said thank you, we sang him a song, ‘When Santa got Stuck up the Chimney’. We think he enjoyed it! It was hard to see under that enormous beard.
